Slammie founder Jim Hayward and Susan Bartel (The Cichlids, Mad As Birds)
are tying the knot and want to celebrate with all their friends from the local scene.

September 2009 marks the 30th birthday of Miami's venerable live music venue, Churchill's Pub. All month long, the club will be commemorating the occasion with special anniversary shows.

The most anticipated will take place on Saturday, Sept. 12, when Slammie Productions pays tribute to the past three decades of the South Florida underground punk-rock scene. The club's main stage and newly renovated back stage will feature 15 bands playing 20- and 30-minute sets non-stop from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. DJs will also be on hand, spinning all local punk records from the late '70s through today.

Here's the lineup in historical order based on the bands' or members' impact on the scene:

Saturday, March 4th
Humbert's "Begfest" at Churchills
Our pals Humbert are going to SXSW and need money, so this is kind of like a Hialeah telethon. There will be tons of bands playing all over Churchills, and the 'terrors are scheduled to go on around midnight. If you don't know where Churchills is, then you should probably just stay home.

Friday, March 18th
OK, here's the deal. On Friday, March 18th, INTERPOL (featuring none other than our pal Sam Fogarino on drums) will be playing a show at Revolution. Our other pals HUMBERT had the genius idea of us and them doing a show later on that night right next door at the Poorhouse. And if Sammy felt like wandering over and playing a few tunes with his buddies the HOLY TERRORS...well, you get the gist.
Will the Terrors actually play?
Will Sammy come by?
Who knows.
It's South Florida...got anything better to do that night?
